Laurie Anderson’s Homeland

Maybe I’m getting into a circle here, just posting videos. I don’t have a lot of time. But the other day I went to Laurie Anderson’s show Homeland (Aug. 27 at the Gran Rex Theatre, Buenos Aires) and it was a really good experience. ‘It’s…kinda..political,’ she told some British interviewer about the show. It was. If you say ‘homeland’ to a u.s. citizen these days/years, most likely the next word that will pop in that person’s mind is ’security’. The show did some things I really like to be done to me; laugh and cry at about the same time. It’s a mix of classical and electronic music, fables and political narratives. I thought it was both very sharp and very funny and at times very beautiful. And Lou Reed came by for a few minutes. There’s some videos.
